MOSCOW— Russian forces are advancing across the entire front in Ukraine, the country’s top general, Valery Gerasimov, said Tuesday. Speaking to reporters, Gerasimov claimed that Russian troops now control more than 30% of the buildings in the eastern town of Myrnohrad.
Gerasimov also described the recent capture of Pokrovsk as “an important step towards taking the whole of Donbas,” according to Reuters. He asserted that Russian forces are pushing forward along multiple axes of the conflict, emphasizing progress in eastern Ukraine.
